Expertise
Every Oraije garment is the result of collaborative work, combining creation, textile expertise, and high quality standards. Behind every pair of jeans are thoughtful choices, trusted partners, and a coherently designed production chain.

We have chosen to bring our expertise as close as possible to one another in order to minimize travel between each manufacturing step. Thus, once the fabric is put into production, an Oraije pair of jeans travels only 47 kilometers before leaving the workshop.

This approach, guided by the pursuit of excellence and consistency, allows us to transparently share with you the journey of our pieces, from their design in Paris to their arrival in your wardrobe.
STEP 1: The creation in Paris
STEP 1: The creation in Paris
It all begins in Paris, in Jessica’s office, our collection director. This is where each piece is imagined. Inspired by the modern woman and her everyday needs, Jessica designs cuts meant to combine comfort, aesthetic appeal, and self-confidence.

Particular attention is paid to details: the drape, the garment’s structure, and also the choice of threads that will make up the fabrics. From the number of weaves per centimeter to the direction of the thread, every decision is made with high standards.
STEP 2: Weaving the Denim
STEP 2: Weaving the Denim
Once the creation is finalized, the cotton threads are woven in one of our partner workshops specializing in denim. This step gives birth to our canvases, selected for their strength and quality.

The fabrics used meet strict criteria and benefit from Standard 100 certification, guaranteeing the absence of harmful substances for health.
STEP 3: Production
The denim fabric is then precisely cut according to the shapes defined during the design phase. The various pieces are assembled with renowned textile expertise, giving rise to raw denim jeans, faithful to the lines and volumes conceived in Paris.
STEP 4: Washing, an essential step
STEP 4: Washing, an essential step
The washing process gives each pair of jeans its colour and character. Concerned about limiting our environmental impact, we favour clear water washing whenever possible and, for some models, use salt and stone washing to obtain specific shades without chemicals.

Our factory operates on a closed water circuit: only 40% new water is used each day, with the rest being recycled.

We are also developing ozone washing, one of the most environmentally friendly methods.
STEP 5: Finishing touches and quality control
STEP 5: Finishing touches and quality control
Back in the manufacturing workshop, the final touches, such as adding buttons and fasteners, are applied. Once the product is complete, it undergoes technical inspection to ensure its quality and durability. All sizes of our jeans are checked to ensure compliance with the sizing chart, thus providing you with flattering cuts.

"Reduce impact without compromising quality: at Oraije, our jeans travel 20,460 km compared to an industry average of 65,000 km. Controlled production, two collections per year, and pieces designed to last."
